Useful Information For Companies

The Manufacturers Alliance Intermediary Apprenticeship Program works with businesses across New York State to place apprenticeships within their organizations. Our goal is to grow the manufacturing industry across the state through these registered apprenticeships.

We probably don’t have to tell you, but the average age of a skilled worker is 56 years old. The majority of the manufacturing workforce is looking to retire soon – do you have the resources to fill those spots?

Here at the Manufacturers Alliance, we make it as easy as possible for companies to partner with us. Working with the NYSDOL, we’ll help you find potential candidates, identify training and education mentors, provide Related Technical Instruction (RTI), develop custom curriculum, and more.

Why Hire An Apprentice?

Why not? It's never been easier to hire an apprentice through our program. You'll receive a determined individual who is looking to learn as much as possible to improve his or her skills in the industry. We offer many different apprenticeships across the state.

Find one that fits your company below! If you don't find an apprenticeship you need, we're happy to create custom solutions for any of our partners.

Workforce Development

The manufacturing industry accounts for 9% of the U.S. economy. Our goal is to not only keep that number steady, but to improve upon it.

How? By helping apprentices develop the necessary skills they need to succeed.

We do that through both hands-on training and traditional classroom learning. Our partnerships include local colleges, trade schools, national organizations, and more. To learn more about the Related Instruction our program offers, follow the link below.

Return on Investment

Hiring an apprentice is an investment. We aim to make this one of the best investments you'll ever make. First off, apprenticeships require a lower starting salary than hiring a skilled worker with experience. Through skills development and additional training, these apprentices soon become as qualified as the rest.

Our screening process ensures your apprentice is genuinely interested in the occupation resulting in higher productivity and employee retention. Contact us below to get started with our registered apprenticeship program!

Martha and Meghan are glad to answer any questions you may have about joining our Apprenticeship Program.
